Announces Request for Proposals
Clinical Trials in LAM
The LAM Treatment Alliance is pleased to announce a global open call for proposals for clinical research studies focused on the treatment of patients with Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM). The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to accelerate LAM research by encouraging and funding experienced and highly motivated investigators, clinicians and Pharmaceutical Industry partners interested in conducting clinical studies designed to improve the therapeutic options for women with LAM.
In keeping with the fast-tracking mission of the LAM Treatment Alliance, preference for this RFP award in particular, will be given to feasible and well-designed, time-line driven, therapy-focused proposals with clear scientific rationale. For greatest patient impact in the fastest time, highly-experienced ‘trial logistics’ support will be provided to help facilitate contractual / regulatory processes and to trouble-shoot unforeseen obstacles for greatest patient impact in the fastest time. Target is first patient enrolled by mid-2010.
We encourage broad circulation of this announcement. All interested investigators are invited to submit their study concept(s) to the LAM Treatment Alliance by November 6, 2009. Final funding decisions will be announced before or during January 2010.
